Sproull started professionally in 1978 with his first studio in my parent’s home in Marshall Saskatchewan. His mentors, Ansel Adams and Peter Gowland, were quite emphatic that a true photographer completes their own work from exposure to final print. This has allowed him to learn multiple aspects of a great career in imaging. Implementing his artistic side with the mechanics of photography has proven to be a plus in his business life. Having been born and raised in Lloydminster has allowed him to be a vital part of recording and documenting the oil history, people, places and events. His training has allowed him to work in the commercial areas of our community with various oil companies in areas ranging from the Artic to South America.
